The Foundation is delivering mental health education and training programs to support the Australian community affected by mental health issues through the following programs.

 

COMMUNITY EDUCATION SEMINAR SERIES

The Foundation aims to deliver mental health education through Community Education Seminar Series.

The seminars will be running monthly to benefit students (schools and universities), professionals, carers, indigenous people and consumers on topics specific to mental health and psychological medicine.

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID COURSE (March, June, September and December)

This course teaches adults (18 years and above) how to provide initial support to adults who are developing mental health illness or experiencing a mental health crisis, as well as learning the signs and symptoms of common and disabling mental health conditions, where and how to get professional help, and what sort of support has been shown to be effective and how to provide aid in first aid crisis.

The Foundation offers mental health education through our Standard 12 Hour Course with four seasonal sessions on the 1st Tuesday and Wednesday of the month.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea provided.
  • Tickets are non-refundable.
  • Course attendees will receive a standard MHFA manual and a Certificate of Accreditation.
