Youth Mental Health Issue- Policy Paper Discussion

During the 2018 Youth Mental Wellbeing Conference, topics of crucial importance to youth mental health were discussed and a position paper was formulated from the perspectives of the student attendees at this event. Topics covered in this policy paper include Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Eating Disorders, Substance Abuse and Addiction, Gender Identity Issues, Homelessness and Mental Health, Adjustment Disorders, Panic Disorders, Generational Stress, Psychotic Disorders and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders.

This year’s version of the Youth Mental Wellbeing Conference will present attendees with an opportunity to review the findings from last year’s conference, learn about the recommendations stemming from the policy paper as well as make amendments to the policy paper itself. It is an opportunity for young people to have their voice heard in a policy setting and allow them to guide the discussion around youth mental health.
