Gender Identity Support Group - 3rd Tuesday session

Gender Identity

Gender identity is a person’s perception of having a particular gender, which may or may not correspond with their birth sex. Gender is a social construct and idea created by people to help categorise the world around
them.

Gender Identity is a twice monthly support group where people meet to share and discuss their experiences, issues or any other matters in a safe space. The difficulties and discrimination facing transgender people are unique and can be severe. The aim of the group is to create a sense of connectivity among the members/ participants and reduce isolation.
