CALD LGBTIQA+ Support Group

CALD LGBTIQA+ Support Group

The CALD LGBTIQA+ Support Group is for same sex attracted and gender diverse people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to discuss their mental health and wellbeing and develop a strong sense of belonging in the community.

Often, gender and/or sexually diverse identities can engender conflict with cultural norms, doctrinal positions and family expectations and relationships. This group creates a safe space for individuals to talk through, share stories and offer reflections on intersectional and complex issues surrounding relationships, cultural traditions, and identity.

When and where is the support group?

Date: 1st Wednesday of the month

Time: 5:30pm - 7:00pm (AEST)

Venue/Mode: Face-to-Face session at MHFA and Online via Zoom

*Note: The face-to-face sessions start from May as part of the hybrid sessions.
